Last night, it occurred to me that March and April were, in fact, the same(ish) length as January and February. This blew my mind because, due to the horrendous eczema I had going on this winter, January and February felt more like an entire season, while March and April felt like one singular month. They flew by!
All that to say, this spring has been kind to me.
Maybe you’ve experienced this: I’ve noticed that after I’ve gone through a prolonged, ever-worsening period of suffering, when it finally gets better, it feels WAY better. Thanks to Protopic and Dupixent, my eczema is FINALLY managed, and along with that and the spring weather that has arrived, it feels like I’m coming back to life. I have more energy, capacity, happiness, and motivation. And damn, I am GRATEFUL for it!! (Can you tell I had more caffeine than usual today? The CAPITAL WORDS are popping off. lol).
So I wanted to give this trend I’ve seen all over the interwebs a go: the monthly r.e.p.o.r.t. to share what I’ve been up to. Let’s do it:
April 2025 R.E.P.O.R.T.

R(reading)- THE HUNGER GAMES SUNRISE ON THE REAPING!
All caps!!! Suzanne Collins, you did it again. I actually gave 4 books a 5 star rating this month: 2 non-fiction, and 2 fiction. But the one I cannot stop thinking about is the latest Hunger Games prequel: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Y’all… it was so good. SO devastating, but so good. I’ve been thoroughly hyperfixating on all the Hunger Games theories that TikTok can offer, and can’t wait for the movie to come out next year. Now if only I could find a streaming service to binge-watch all the films…
E(eating)- Mango!
I found this fish with mango salsa recipe on TikTok, gave it a go, and was instantly questioning why the hell I’d never made it before! Mango salsa is my new favorite thing. It’s the perfect combo of sweet, spicy, salty, and citrusy. I’m getting hungry now, lol.
I also made mango matcha (pictured above) and it was so good! I love my $8 lattes but I love making them at home even more. I simply blended up some mango, honey, and oat milk, then layered it with ice and matcha/oat milk. Yummmyyyy.
P(playing)- Spring Into Summer by Lizzy McAlpine
I probably listened to this song at least 1000 times this month. It’s so good, and I’m already dreading the moment it will feel overplayed to my ears, but for now, imma keep listening. *presses play for 5th time today*
O(obsessing)- Interdependence & Butter Yellow
How about a deep answer and a light answer?
If you haven’t noticed, I launched a brand new course all about Interdependence in relationships. Therefore, I’ve been focusing on this topic a LOT and noticing interdependence everywhere in nature. It’s been really lovely, and I’m grateful for the delightful way the course has begun thanks to the people in it! We had our first live call on Tuesday, and I felt so warm and inspired by all the folks who came live.
On a lighter note, I discovered my favorite color isn’t called “pale yellow”; it’s called “BUTTER yellow” and apparently it’s the “in” color this season. Works for me! I can’t stop noticing butter yellow everywhere now, whether it’s a wall, a flower, or clothes, and I am loving it.
R(recommending)- WALKING
This was my first full month with my little under-the-desk walking pad, and I jumped from an average of ~7,000 steps a day to ~12,000 steps a day! I LOVE THIS THING! As much as I love walking outside, it’s soooo helpful to crank out the steps while I’m working. In addition to the physical benefits, I feel motivated, mentally clear, and just overall more productive when I’m walking. Am I writing this from my walking pad right now? YUP. So yes, I’d highly recommend more walking, whether it’s outside or on a treadmill.
T(treating)- Trip to California
I recently went on a long weekend trip with one of my besties and one of her besties to Big Sur and Santa Cruz, California. It was a wonderful time with SO much laughter, yummy food, and beautiful scenery. I lived in Santa Cruz for almost 2 years back in 2017-2019, and I absolutely love it there. It was so fun to show the gals around all my favorite spots. If you ever need any activity, beach, or restaurant recommendations in that area, get in touch!
I can’t wait to get my film back from the trip, but until then, here’s some photos that display the beauty and joy of the trip :)

That’s all for now! This May I turn 30 (!!) and I’m SO excited to be going on a trip to the South of France for 10 days to celebrate and relax. I hope May offers you lots of ease, joy, and community.
With hope and gratitude,
Emmy
Love all things mango!! (And walking pad beasties 👯♀️)
